Burgos, Spain (May 4, 2023) Hiperbaric, the Spanish pioneer company in the development of high-pressure industrial equipment, has consolidated its sustainable plan in 2022 with more than 20 initiatives and an investment of close to 200,000 euros.

The Spanish company has published its 2022 Sustainable Report in which it reaffirms its commitment to social, corporate, and environmental responsibility. Hiperbaric has carried out a series of proposals that contribute to the personal and professional projection of its employees while maintaining their awareness of sustainable values.

Hiperbaric CEO, Andrés Hernando, has recognized the challenges that 2022 has posed for the company, such as the outbreak of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Andrés Hernando stated, “we plan to bet firmly on materializing our purpose by laying the foundations of a culture that would have an impact on all the processes of the value chain and its relationship with the social and environmental environment”.

Hernando stated that these challenges “forced us to think faster, to find renewable alternatives to gas consumption and to actively contribute to sustainable mobility, which is why Hiperbaric’s hydrogen compression technology made sense”. Within the framework of its 2023-2027 Strategic Plan, Hiperbaric plans to lead the European market in green hydrogen compression, taking advantage of the opportunities that are opening up in this field inside and outside its borders.

So far, the results are supporting the decision of the company, which has managed to generate quality employment, support society and commit to the well-being of the planet. The pillars of the Burgos company have revolved around three main legs: governance, people, and the environment.

Recognition of AENOR and affiliation to the United Nations Global Compact

For Hiperbaric, sustainability is an ethical, operational, and strategic commitment, which must be made visible in a management style consistent with the needs of the business, people, and the planet.

The Burgos model has obtained external recognition from various entities that guarantee its quality, such as the Certification of the Integrated System for Quality Management, Environment and Safety and Health at Work (AENOR). The company has also extended its commitment to governance by signing up to the United Nations Global Compact. To this end, it will carry out a series of responsible corporate and business actions aimed at creating a better world and meeting the goals set by the 2030 Agenda.

The company’s role in the energy transition process is so important that it has managed to be a pioneer in installing the first compressors with 100% Spanish technology, both in national and foreign markets. With a focus on its customers, the company from Burgos has closed 2022 with the Ecodesign initiative, which consists of developing innovative solutions to reduce the environmental impact of its equipment from its conception to the end of its useful life.
