  • The company, holding over 65% of the global market share, will present its advancements in cold pasteurization to guarantee safety and extend the shelf life of food without the need for artificial preservatives.
  • Through “turnkey” robotic solutions and connected machines, Hiperbaric will demonstrate at its booth how Industry 4.0 optimizes operational costs and builds the factory of the future.

Hiperbaric, the global benchmark company in High Pressure Processing (HPP) industrial equipment, will exhibit its technological vanguard at its booth at Alimentaria FoodTech 2026 (D251 Pavilion 2), which will be held from October 6 to 8 at the Fira de Barcelona venue.

From this space dedicated to innovation, the company will bring industry professionals closer to the advantages of its revolutionary systems that are redefining the future of safe and sustainable food.

What is HPP technology and what are its benefits?

Hiperbaric attends the trade show consolidated as the undisputed global leader in the manufacture of HPP equipment, holding over 65% of the global market share.

High pressure technology or cold pasteurization is an innovative method that uses extreme levels of hydrostatic pressure (applying up to 6,000 bar through water) to inactivate pathogenic and spoilage microorganisms in food. Its great differential advantage is that it achieves this food safety without the need to apply heat or resort to chemical preservatives. Being an entirely cold process, the products maintain their freshness, original flavor, texture, and all their nutritional value intact, while exponentially extending their shelf life in the market.

Its multiple applications are a proven success across a wide variety of sectors, ranging from premium juices and beverages to meat products, ready-to-eat (RTE) meals, sauces such as guacamole, and seafood, among others.

A solid identity driven by Industry 4.0 and AI

The global leadership of Hiperbaric that visitors will discover at the booth is sustained both by the mechanical excellence of its equipment and a corporate identity strongly linked to innovation. Technological vanguard in the food sector requires the full integration of Industry 4.0 and Artificial Intelligence (AI), a convergence that allows Hiperbaric to guarantee unprecedented efficiency in both machine design and operational performance.

Digital transformation: From the production plant to the customer’s factory

Hiperbaric’s digital strategy covers the entire life cycle of the machinery end-to-end:

  • Manufacturing Phase (advanced monitoring in the workshop): At Hiperbaric’s facilities, each machine project is digitally monitored in real time throughout its assembly process. This infrastructure allows continuous tracking on the plant floor, aligning the workshop, engineering, and project management teams. The information, accessible from any device, streamlines decision-making, minimizes errors, and guarantees maximum quality.
  • Client Operation Phase (smart and connected machines): Once installed, HPP machines become intelligent nodes. Backed by an extraordinarily powerful data history of over 450 machines operating throughout the company’s 27-year history, Hiperbaric monitors key operational parameters. This translates into highly precise preventive maintenance advice, capable of predicting anomalies before they occur to maximize uptime. This information feeds back into the continuous improvement program, optimizing component design to constantly elevate equipment reliability.

Vanguard in robotic automation and “Turnkey” solutions

Beyond high pressure processing, Hiperbaric is at the forefront of industrial automation by optimizing processes before and after treatment. Although the tasks of loading and unloading products on HPP lines are traditionally performed manually (a fully functional model today), the company seeks to offer greater scalability to its customers.

To this end, the company designs and offers custom, “turnkey” automation solutions. Through the integration of intelligent robots, the company directly supports food producers looking to take a step further in the automation of these tasks. The result is a qualitative leap in productivity, an optimization of operational costs, and the full, digitized traceability of every batch, raising production standards and building the factory of the future tailored to each customer’s convenience.

Full Schedule of Activities

During the three days of the trade show, the Hiperbaric booth will be the hub of a packed schedule of activities. The automation section of the booth will host an international digitalization tour organized by AMEC (12:30 p.m.), where Hiperbaric will interactively showcase its latest technological solutions and Industry 4.0 initiatives. Also on the 7th, Marta Onrubia will participate in the roundtable discussion “Who Will Shape the Future of Pet Food?” organized by Interempresas.

The company’s commitment to industry outreach will continue that same Wednesday at the Innovarena Space, where Hiperbaric representatives will participate live in the roundtable discussion “The Challenge of Communicating Food Safety,” organized by Revista C de Cárnica. The program will conclude on Thursday, October 8, with an official visit by the AECOC Food Safety Committee to Hiperbaric’s facilities, in addition to various scheduled meetings with leading specialized media outlets such as Alimarket and Interempresas.
