Heavy stuff, but we know how to do it.

Earlier in the Hiperbaric Blog we had explained how a big HPP machine is transported and shipped, those interested can go back to that information and learn how our kit is brought from our Burgos, Spain factory to customer’s premises.


Once the new HPP beast arrives to final destination, the first step is to have a big crane on site.

Alternatively, two heavy-duty forklifts can do the job. These are found more easily in North America. The advantage is that with them, in one single operation and move, you can bring the machine all the way in to final position in the new HPP room.

Our Specialist Team coordinated by Hiperbaric Service&Support, will be guiding the operation at all times and supervising the rigging and moving maneuvers.

The main frame of the HPP machine; the high pressure vessel; the high pressure intensifiers; and the platform and structures of the Hiperbaric machine, are all progressively moved in to final position during Day 1 of Installation.

Once the machine is in place, Assembly operations begin. Our Assembly team takes care of everything. In case of large machines such as Hiperbaric 300, Hiperbaric 420 and Hiperbaric 525 in their Integrated configuration, we assemble the platform for the intensifiers around the main HPP machine, and position the pressure intensifiers on top of this built-in stainless steel platform.

Lastly, the loading and unloading conveyors and systems are commissioned.

It is very important that always upon our arrival to the customer’s site, the utilities for the machine (mainly water, energy, compressed air and internet) are available. Our Team will connect the just-assembled HPP system and we will begin the first high pressure tests.

Once the Start-up protocol is finished, our Hiperbaric Start-Up Team will begin first real productions together with the customer. It’s in these first shifts of production when fine tuning of the Hiperbaric HPP equipment takes place, troubleshooting can be effectuated, and also very importantly, training is given to the machine operators and the maintenance people.

Hiperbaric assembles and starts-up its HPP equipment in record time. Most commonly, a full commissioning, start-up and training operation of a large Hiperbaric 300, Hiperbaric 420 or Hiperbaric 525 unit takes no more than 10 working days. From Day 6 onwards of that total of 10, the customer starts running productions.

In order to fulfill these commissioning targets, all Hiperbaric equipment are fully assembled and pre-commissioned in our Works, thoroughly tested and inspected.

Hiperbaric has closed 2014 with a record turnover (over 41m € in sales) and as of January 2015 holds a historical, record-breaking order portfolio of machines to be delivered during this year. Forecast for 2015 is achieving sales in excess of 50m €.
