From the mountains of Taigong, in China’s Changshan region, to the tables of millions of households, Zhejiang Aijia Food has built a journey defined by innovation, sustainability, and deep respect for the land. Founded in 1999, the company has grown into one of China’s leading agricultural enterprises, driving rural development and delivering healthy, safe products to consumers.
Their story begins with a fruit: the Changshan pomelo, renowned for its nutritional and medicinal value. Aijia has transformed this natural treasure into the cornerstone of a modern business model that fully integrates the supply chain—from cultivation and processing to distribution. Today, the company operates over 40 standardized production bases and 10 cold-chain logistics centers across major Chinese cities.

The challenge: preserving natural freshness while ensuring food safety
For Aijia, the key question has always been how to preserve the natural essence and taste of fresh fruit without using preservatives or thermal treatments that alter its properties.
The answer came through High-Pressure Processing (HPP), an innovative non-thermal technology that inactivates pathogens and extends shelf life without compromising quality or nutrients.
In 2024, Aijia took a major step forward by incorporating Hiperbaric’s HPP equipment, the global leader in high-pressure technology. Their plant now operates the Hiperbaric 525, capable of processing up to 2.6 tons of product per hour—a clear reflection of the company’s ambition and commitment to excellence.
A leap toward sustainability and international expansion
Thanks to HPP technology, Aijia’s Not From Concentrate (NFC) pomelo juices maintain the taste and freshness of just-squeezed fruit while reducing food waste and optimizing logistics. This advancement has enabled the company to expand its footprint in the domestic market and open the door to new export opportunities, meeting the highest standards of quality and food safety.
But the impact goes beyond technology. Aijia’s vision includes a strong commitment to rural revitalization: establishing standardized orchards, improving local infrastructure, promoting education, and supporting farmers—all part of a sustainable approach to community growth.
A partnership built on trust and innovation
The collaboration between Zhejiang Aijia and Hiperbaric demonstrates how technology can serve tradition, health, and progress. Both companies share the same philosophy: to innovate in order to improve people’s lives, ensuring safer, more natural food for everyone.
“Aijia is not just a company—it’s a platform for shared prosperity,” says founder Qin Hanfen.
With the support of Hiperbaric, Aijia continues to grow, bringing the essence of Changshan to new horizons and setting a new benchmark in China’s agri-food industry.
