Madrid becomes for three days the world capital of this energy vector with the celebration of the European Hydrogen Congress 2022 (EHEC), organized by the National Hydrogen Association (AeH2). At this event, Hiperbaric, a world leader in high-pressure technologies, presents its hydrogen compression technology and compressor units. In addition, Daniel Ballorca, Hydrogen Project Manager, will give the conference “Compressed hydrogen, the mostefficient way to store energy” on May 19.

The Spanish Hydrogen Association (AeH2) inaugurates on Wednesday, May 18 the new edition of the European Hydrogen Congress 2022 (EHEC) at Duques de Pastrana in Madrid. In this important event, Hiperbaric participates as a sponsor, where it will expose to the international public its Hydrogen (H2) compression technology at very high pressures. Hydrogen compression is one of the most economical ways to store hydrogen. Hydrogen has to be compressed at very high pressures, between 200 and 950 bar and using innovative technologies, in order to be dispensed into a fuel cell vehicle. Hiperbaric, with more than 20 years of experience in handling liquids and gases at very high pressure, is already supplying fuel efficiently and reliably for use in hydrogen stations.

Hiperbaric designs and develops modular, compact and reliable high-pressure hydrogen compressor units, ranging from 200 to 950 bar, for equipment processing at the most demanding levels of compression, safety and demand.

Daniel Ballorca, Hydrogen Project Manager, will give the conference “Compressed hydrogen, the mostefficient way to store energy”, in which he will analyze the role of H2 compression within the Hydrogen Economy. It will take place on Thursday, May 19 at 15:00 hours.

Relevant international participation at EHEC

The event will bring together more than 500 participants from over 40 countries and will bring the latest technological, scientific and strategic advances linked to hydrogen. It will be structured in four plenary sessions, more than 190 parallel papers and more than 80 poster sessions where speakers will present their most relevant projects, development strategies and the latest technological advances. Also, in the trade fair more than 50 exhibitors will present their latest products, projects and services.

The European Hydrogen Congress 2022 (EHEC), included in the “Hydrogen Roadmap: a commitment to renewable hydrogen” and approved by the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO), is one of the initiatives proposed to position Spain as a country of reference at European level in technologies related to green hydrogen.
