Hiperbaric will participate from February 7 to 9 as a sponsor in the I National Congress of Green Hydrogen in Huelva (Spain), an event that seeks to bring together the industry at national level and that will be a great opportunity to value the role of green hydrogen in the development of economic activity. Together with Hiperbaric, the congress will have the support of other large companies in the sector such as Siemens Energy, Enagás, Fertiberia, Exolum, Atlantic Copper, Masa, Grundfos, Veolia, Telam, Navantia and Iberdrola, among many others.

Hiperbaric’s sponsorship of this business and industrial event responds to the company’s strategy of helping to position Spain as the first specialized hub on the continent, as the Spanish company is a pioneer in the development of hydrogen compression technology for industry and sustainable mobility.

The congress will have more than 500 participants, 25 exhibiting companies, 20 business associations and the presence of the CEOs of the leading companies in the sector, who will participate in national and international presentations, and will share real experiences and investment plans in this sector. The congress program will address the following topics: Resources (electricity, water, electrolyzers); Chemical Industry (H2 manufacturing, synthetic fuels with green H2, H2 carriers, methanol and green fertilizers); Transportation with green H2 or derivatives (land, air and marine); Steel and cement; Ancillary Industry; Logistics, storage and distribution and, finally, Regulations and training.

Specifically, Andrés Hernando, CEO of Hiperbaric, will participate in a round table discussion on “Value Chain Generated” scheduled for February 8, along with José Luis Fernández Bris of Calvera Hydrogen and José Manuel Gregorio of AJUSA. In addition, the Congress will have a large exhibition area and a networking space for companies to make presentations and develop joint business actions.

For his part, Commercial Director of Hiperbaric, Alejandro Blanco, will give the presentation “Hydrogen compression solutions up to 1000 bar”, focused on presenting the only solution for industrial hydrogen compressors that reach up to 1000 bar. Hiperbaric’s hydrogen compression technology is based on an oil-free reciprocating piston. It is an isothermal compression process that provides high reliability and low energy consumption.

This meeting and discussion forum will give new impetus to green hydrogen to become in the coming years an alternative energy to reduce polluting emissions from the energy sectors, therefore the congress will host all public administrations, companies and organizations involved in research, technological development and innovation that effectively address the change in processes and production models that need to be undertaken.

The event is promoted by the Federation of Entrepreneurs of Huelva (FOE) and will celebrate its first edition with a continuing vocation.

Hiperbaric, pioneer in the development of hydrogen compression technology

After 25 years of history, Hiperbaric has positioned itself as a world leader in high-pressure technology and since 2021 has been making a strong commitment to green hydrogen compression technology for use in sustainable mobility refueling stations.

To date, the company has been part of major projects with the supply of its compressors in initiatives such as ‘Power to Green Hydrogen’ in Mallorca or the installation of the first Spanish innovation hydrogen compressor for sustainable mobility at the National Hydrogen Center (CNH2) in Puertollano (Ciudad Real). In addition to the projects promoted in Spain, it has collaborated with several developed abroad through agreements signed with companies such as the French Lhyfe or the German Framatome. According to its strategic plan 2023-2027, it aspires to lead the European market in green hydrogen compression in the coming years by placing the percentage of total turnover achieved with green hydrogen compression technology at 45%.
