Hiperbaric will participate in the upcoming edition of Additive Metals World 2025, one of the most important international events in the field of metal additive manufacturing. During the event which will bring together experts, manufacturers, and researchers from around the world, the burgos-based company will showcase its cutting-edge Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) technology, a key post-processing solution for 3D-printed metal parts in highly demanding sectors such as aerospace, energy, and medical applications.
HIP Technology: Optimizing Additive Manufacturing
Hiperbaric’s HIP technology plays a crucial role in enhancing the mechanical properties of metal parts produced through 3D printing. By applying pressures of up to 2,050 bar and temperatures reaching 1,400°C, internal porosity is eliminated, improving ductility, resilience, and fatigue life. This is particularly important in sectors like aerospace and healthcare, where component reliability is critical.
Hiperbaric has developed advanced HIP equipment such as the Hiperbaric 20 HIP, a compact and versatile model ideal for small-scale production and R&D. The system allows configurations with molybdenum or graphite furnaces, reaching temperatures of up to 2,000°C, and features a rapid cooling system that boosts productivity while ensuring excellent metallurgical properties.
Commitment to Innovation and Sustainability
Hiperbaric continues to invest in research and development to expand the applications of HIP technology. The company has collaborated on projects such as SmartMat and XtremHIP, focused on the design of high-performance HIP systems for demanding applications in additive manufacturing and advanced materials.
In addition, the company has announced the construction of a new facility at its headquarters in Burgos to house its largest HIP system to date, weighing 300 tonnes and standing nearly 10 meters tall. This investment, exceeding 4 million euros, reinforces Hiperbaric’s commitment to innovation and diversification across industrial sectors.
Presence at Additive Metals World 2025
At Additive Metals World 2025, Hiperbaric will present its latest HIP solutions for post-processing high-performance components manufactured through 3D printing. Attendees will have the opportunity to discover firsthand how the combination of additive manufacturing and hot isostatic pressing is revolutionizing production in key industries by delivering lighter, stronger, and more sustainable parts. With its presence, Hiperbaric reaffirms its commitment to the future of advanced manufacturing and its leadership in high-pressure technology innovation.
