PROJECT

RODAS tackles one of the major technological challenges of nuclear fusion: the fabrication of large, highly complex metal components capable of operating under extreme conditions. Through the development and validation of advanced manufacturing technologies—including additive manufacturing, hybrid processes, and Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP)—the project establishes new industrial capabilities for key applications in reactors such as ITER and DEMO.

Driven by collaboration among research centers, universities, and industrial companies, RODAS strengthens the strategic position of Spanish industry, equipping it with the knowledge, processes, and infrastructure necessary to compete in the development of future fusion energy systems.
