This ambitious project, led by a European consortium, has launched the first hydrogen train to run on the Spanish rail network. This innovative solution offers a clean and efficient alternative to traditional diesel trains, drastically reducing polluting emissions and contributing to the decarbonization of the transport sector.<\/p>\n<p>FCH2Rail has been developed by a consortium comprising CAF, DLR, Toyota, Renfe, Adif, CNH2, IP and Stemmann-Technik, in which Hiperbaric has participated by providing the hydrogen compression technology. <strong>The refueling station has a hydrogen compressor unit that reaches 950 bar pressure.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-63484 gallery-columns-2 gallery-size-swp_timeline_image_468320'><figure class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<div class='gallery-icon landscape'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/www.hiperbaric.com\/en\/fch2rail-the-first-hydrogen-train-in-spain-powered-by-compressed-h2-from-hiperbaric\/tren-hidrogeno-hiperbaric-2\/'><img width=\"468\" height=\"320\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hiperbaric.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Tren-hidrogeno-Hiperbaric-468x320.png\" class=\"attachment-swp_timeline_image_468\u00d7320 size-swp_timeline_image_468\u00d7320\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure><figure class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<div class='gallery-icon landscape'>\n\t\t\t\t<a href='https:\/\/www.hiperbaric.com\/en\/fch2rail-the-first-hydrogen-train-in-spain-powered-by-compressed-h2-from-hiperbaric\/tren-hidrogeno-canfranc-1-2\/'><img width=\"468\" height=\"320\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hiperbaric.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Tren-hidrogeno-Canfranc-1-468x320.jpg\" class=\"attachment-swp_timeline_image_468\u00d7320 size-swp_timeline_image_468\u00d7320\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The FCH2Rail project had a planned duration of 4 years and <strong>a budget of more than 14 million euros, of which about 70% was financed with European funds.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Fuel Cell Hybrid PowerPack<\/strong> was developed and manufactured for an existing commuter train provided by Renfe.
