The history of Hiperbaric began in 1999 with a R&D project for the development of a high pressure machine. In 2002 we installed the first prototype of the horizontal high pressure processing machine. Since then, we are an international reference in the design, manufacture and commercialization of high pressure industrial equipment, offering a wide range of technologies focused on different sectors. In this exciting journey, our evolution and growth was possible due to an extraordinary team. Keep reading and meet them all!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The backbone of Hiperbaric: our team<\/span><\/h2>\n

Our team has more than 120 people<\/a>, highly qualified in high pressure processing. More than half with university studies. We are divided in eleven areas: purchasing and logistics, IT, human resources, applications, marketing and communication, sales, production, quality, engineering, aftersales, and finances and administration. Each department collaborates with one another in order to guarantee an effective response to our customers. Throughout this article you get to know some of the faces from each department.<\/p>\n

Talent acquisition and human enhancement<\/span><\/h2>\n

Starting with talent<\/a> management, the important thing is to \u201cdevelop the company and its team, to be recognized worldwide as leaders\u201d, says Andr\u00e9s Hernando, our CEO. And it is supported by M\u00f3nica Monasterio, that belongs to human resources, \u201cwe seek that each person is comfortable in their job, the happiest and most motivated workers are the ones who can offer the best service to our customers\u201d.<\/p>\n

However, promoting a challenging environment for our employees is one of Hiperbaric\u2019s main challenge. In 2020, Hiperbaric CFO, David Sagredo, won the F&B Processing CFO of the Year award<\/a><\/em>. According to David, one of the objectives of the finance and administration department is that \u201cour employees can develop alongside Hiperbaric\u201d.<\/p>\n

The tools to reach our customers<\/span><\/h2>\n

\u2018\u2019From the sales department, we take care of supporting and guiding the customer throughout their process of adopting the technology into their production line\u201d\u2013 remarks Marta Onrubia, from the sales team. She also adds that \u2018\u2019our work does not end with the purchase of the machine, but we continue to accompany and assist them\u201d.<\/p>\n

The sales department works closely with the marketing<\/a> department. \u00d3scar Garc\u00eda, marketing technician, explains that \u201cfrom marketing we plan and develop communication actions\u201d, with the main objective of \u201cbuilding the brand image of Hiperbaric and attracting potential buyers of our technologies\u201d. In fact, it is from marketing where Hiperbaric\u2019s new business lines start to spread online: high pressure hydrogen compression and hot isostatic pressing<\/a> (HIP) technology\u201d.<\/p>\n

Our immediate and efficient response<\/span><\/h2>\n

To answer the doubts of our customers, we have the applications department, \u201cwhich focuses on product research, working daily with the customer, to offer an effective and updated answer to any query\u201d. We also act as a bridge between engineering and the food industry\u201d, explains Margarida Rodrigues, applications<\/a> specialist.<\/p>\n

At the same time, to address any question or occurrence regarding the machines, Hiperbaric also offers 24\/7 assistance<\/a> to our customers, with the after-sales department. Carlos Jaramillo, North America aftersales manager, affirms that \u201cwe take care of giving support, in order to occurrences as quickly as possible to reduce to the maximum the downtime of the HPP machines\u201d.<\/p>\n

The electrical engineering team also has an essential role in solving problems, as explained by Luis \u00c1ngel Ramos, head of electrical engineering \u2018\u2018In its two aspects of design, and automation and control, we are responsible for the design and integration, in the different Hiperbaric machines\u2019\u2019. In the branch of \u201cautomation and control, we take care of the design and validation of the required software to control and monitor any machine or process\u201d, says Yara G\u00f3mez responsible for programming and automation. Not only do they work side by side with the applications and aftersales departments, \u201cto carry out improvement or upgrade tasks for machines already in operation\u201d, but also provide support \u201cto production during the manufacture and assembly of the machines in the workshop\u201d, as Luis \u00c1ngel explains.<\/p>\n

From the logistics and purchasing department, \u201cthe mission is to supply on time to both the machine assembly department and our customers\u201d. Furthermore, they guarantee \u201cthat spare parts are at their facilities on time to avoid production downtimes\u201d, explains Ram\u00f3n Bustamante, purchasing, logistics and ITC director.<\/p>\n

Behind the design and manufacture of the machines<\/span><\/h2>\n

Miguel Hernando, our industrial general manager plays a crucial role in the \u201cadministration of internal production and after-sales resources\u201d. Just as, Alvaro Ramos, our production manager, that explains that this departament \u2018is mainly in charge of manufacturing, assembly and the implementation of our machines into the different business lines \u2018\u2019, and \u2018\u2019 the fact that we do these processes in-house of our machines, makes us the best experts of them\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n

The engineering, quality and R+D<\/a> departments works directly with production to guarantee a reliable and fast service to all our customers.<\/p>\n

From engineering, Enrique Delgado, explains that \u201cthe area of product, is in charge of the design, not only of the machine itself, but also of the complete solution to be installed in our customers\u2019 homes\u201d. Besides, he adds that they are also engaged in \u201cthe realization of the machine layout, the choice of peripherals adapted to the specific needs and, if necessary, the design of customized solutions\u201d. Jorge Mart\u00ednez adds that \u201cThe challenge of our department is to achieve full customer satisfaction by reducing time and costs and increasing reliability and maintainability in all aspects and phases of the machines\u201d<\/p>\n

And from the quality<\/a> department, one of the main tasks is that \u201cour machines comply with the international standard ASME VIII, which requires tasks such as registration and conservation of documentation, the preparation of pressure tests with the assembly department and the relations with auditors\u201d, explains Ovidio Bueno.<\/p>\n

Finally, R+D is the driving force of \u2018\u2019development and innovation to ensure technological leadership in the market and updating of existing technology and its applications\u201d, as stated by Santiago T\u00e1rrago, R+D director.<\/p>\n

Our values<\/span><\/h2>\n

One of the main challenges of Hiperbaric is to defend our values as a key pillar of the company, and to recognise that our leadership in high pressure technologies is due to our human team. Nothing better to finish than the words of Jaime Mart\u00ednez, electrical engineer: \u201cSince 2001 I have personally helped to install more than 300 machines.
