Consumers in these vast geographic areas have joined the global trends of consuming healthy and natural foods.<\/p>\n<p>HPP is a non-thermal preservation technology that uses water at room temperature (4-25\u00b0 C) to generate pressure levels up to 6,000 bar (87,000 psi \/ 600 MPa), meeting all the requirements demanded consumers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inactivates foodborne pathogens and spoilage microorganisms<\/li>\n<li>Preserves the nutritional and organoleptic characteristics of products<\/li>\n<li>Can be applied to a wide range of applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For these reasons, HPP is becoming more prevalent within the food and beverage industry in the Asia and Pacific region.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #0190d4;\">Primary HPP applications in this region<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Originally, most of the HPP equipment in this region was destined to process coconut water and meat products, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moiramacs.com.au\/\">Moira Mac\u2019s<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tcfoods.com.au\/\">Tender Choice Foods<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wh-group.com\/\">Luohe Shuanghui<\/a>, for export to Europe and other Asian countries. Asia and Pac\u00edfic, a young and emerging market<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Asia and Pacific region has a young population, with an average age of around 30 years and an increasing purchasing power. This has contributed to the rise of convenient products that are not only easy and quick to prepare, but also healthy and attractive. For this reason, ready-to-eat (RTE) meals, especially fruit and vegetable-based, and functional beverages with &#8220;super-food&#8221; ingredients, are the main HPP applications in this region.<\/p>\n<p>Within these applications, we can find some of our most prominent customers, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blessbalance.com\/?lang=EN_US\">Bless<\/a>, Cold Pressure (<a href=\"https:\/\/insideoutng.com.au\/\">Inside Out<\/a>), <a href=\"https:\/\/kakui-food.com\/\">Kakui Foods<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesoupspoon.com\/\">The Soup Spoon<\/a>, and Yewon (<a href=\"https:\/\/kimnara.com\/kim\/us\/main.sophia\">Yemat 1004<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Another great example is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foodnavigator-asia.com\/Article\/2020\/08\/04\/COVID-19-durian-demand-China-s-solid-import-growth-despite-lockdowns-is-industry-saviour-for-Thailand-and-Malaysia?utm_source=newsletter_daily&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=05-Aug-2020\">application of HPP on durian paste<\/a> in Asia-Pacific countries, such as China. Our client <a href=\"https:\/\/duriausa.com\/en\/\">Duria Manufacturing<\/a> was one of the pioneers in the use of HPP on this unique fruit that has a strong flavor and odor, both characteristics that are lost during traditional pasteurization processes. A prime example of an HPP-toller in this region is our customer, <a href=\"https:\/\/wlna.com.sg\/\">Warehouse Logistics Net Asia (WLNA)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, there are more than 50 Hiperbaric HPP units installed in the Asia and Pacific region, of which 21 are confidential, due to the innovative nature of the process and the application. Hiperbaric is present in Australia, Russia, China, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, and many other countries in this area. that process all kinds of products.
